As a change from running a Treasure Hunt - here is a great party game for adults or grown-ups. Follow the links for other party games to entertain your guests - whatever their age:

Guess What

The players are divided into two teams, and they decide amongst themselves the names of popular songs, books, films, plays or proverbs. These are written separately on slips of paper, folded and put into a dish. The teams exchange dishes.

The first team gets one of its members to select a slip from the dish, s/he reads the slip and must then communicate it to his/her team without speaking. The team can ask questions which can be answered with a nod or shake of the head. Mime will be required to communicate to the team.

A time limit of 3-5 minutes should be imposed, and if the team correctly guesses within the time limit, the team will win a point.

A member of the second team then selects a slip and mimes the content for his/her team.

The teams continue in this fashion until an agreed time has passed, or all of the slips have been used. The team with the most points is the winner.
