Treasure Hunt Party Game

Still thinking about the Treasure Hunt party game: Here are some of the comments emailed to us about the amazing parties people have had using our treasure hunt planner system:

Had a great time with the treasure hunt, had a birthday party last night with 11 and 12 year olds, the treasure was a pot of goodies (St. Parick's Day theme). Your directions really helped. Planning to do it with our soccer team at our next travel tournament.

Denise Calloway, South Carolina USA

THANK YOU, NIKKI! We had our family Treasure Hunt this weekend as part of a birthday celebration. 12 of us in all. We had so much fun!!! I couldn’t have pulled this off without you. Big success. I highly recommend this.

Linda Lyle California USA

We didn't have our treasure hunt due to the weather, but we used all the adult games from the bonus ebook and everyone enjoyed them thank you so much,

Wanda Keener, Texas USA

It was a lot of fun. I was able to use 2 acres of land to do the games and made the treasure 2 blocks away in someone elses yard. It was so great. My son who is a little shy was the talk of the class on Monday with the kids saying it was the best party ever. Your program was exactly what I wanted. Someone to walk me through step by step. With 3 kids I don't have a lot of time to be creative and not a lot of money to have a birthday party out somewhere like Lazer tag or Chucky Cheese. If you ever come up with other parties let me know. I also gave out you web address to others.

Kim Carter, Virginia USA

Hello Nikki, Just wanted to say how much we enjoyed our Easter Egg Hunt today.  Followed your instructions and the children loved it.

I now have all sorts of ideas for future parties.  Your ideas were simple, common sense, but I never would have thought of them.  Well worth the $29.

Sue Ashworth, Buckinghamshire UK

Hi Nikki, I had the party on Thursday, it was great everyone loved the hunt, it was something different. Everyone can’t wait for the next hunt.

Naila al Moosawi USA

The treasure hunt party was great; my 16 year old son said it was an awesome party. All the kids came dressed in costume as well as the adults! The hunt took about 1.5 hours to complete. The clues lead to a compass and spade, the compass lead to a treasure map, and the map then lead to the treasure that was buried. When they dug up the chest it was wrapped in chains and locked, and a clue giving them a hint as to where they could find the key, which was hidden in another chest. Being a pirate party, there were several chests for them to look through, but it was in the cake which was shaped like a chest.

We served jerk chicken and shrimp before the hunt, they did the hunt, then ate cake, opened the chest, then played capture the flag in the dark (they had on glow stick necklaces). Everyone had a grand time!! Thanks for your ideas.

Hi Nikki, my party was in Oakville, Ontario. I had it on April 9th and it was for my daughter's 8th birthday. The age range is 6-8 years old. I had some ideas about the party prior to getting your book, but your book was great to help bring all my ideas together. I modeled the game after yours but I changed a few things to be applicable for us. I didn't have a lot of time to put it together, but it only took a few hours to gather the necessary items and make the game. I loved making up the clues and the treasure map. We authenticated the map by burning it and staining it with tea, and it was very realistic.

The morning of the party I had everything ready to go early and I felt completely relaxed, which is not always the case prior to a party. The party was a resounding success. The kids absolutely loved the game. They had so much fun, and worked really well in teams. I buried the treasure in our front yard, so that was definitely the highlight for the group. They were chanting "dig, dig, dig" to the team who was digging to get the treasure up. Once it was found, they screamed with joy and excitement at what was in the tin.

Everyone had fun. No one was frustrated or felt they couldn't do the game.

So thank you for all your assistance. I will definitely do another treasure hunt again. In fact my 6 year old asked if she could have the same party next year. It was so much fun for the kids but also for the my husband and myself. We couldn't wait for the kids to get here so we could play the game.

Thanks again!

Susan Thomson, Ontario Canada

Hi Nikki, we had a great party.  The games we played at the party was like Amazing Race. They had to play a game to get a clue. (They collect all seven clues and put it  together to find the treasure). I made passport for everyone. We traveled around the world to all seven continents. They had different ways to travel around the world. (bike, Wheel bower, skates, etc.) When they collected all the clues they had to find the treasure box that was buried.

We had two teams. I know the kids loved it we had it before our spring break, and yesterday was the first day back and they were still talking about it.

Thanks for the help and ideas.

Shawna Bates, Georgia USA

All went VERY well.. I had about 30 children to do the hunt... They really liked it... It took a lot of thought and planning this first run but it will be a sinch the next time.... I made copies of the pages, cut, color coded, glued and laminated the different stations. I used fold down baskets for the stations... I just taped name to it... Sooo I can pack it all up and use it next year... THANKS it was lots of fun...

Nadine Draper, Ohio USA

Well everything came out a big hit.  Everyone loved it.  They thought it was real creative.  Everyone had a real good time.  It was 4 teams of 2.  That way everyone really had to work together and no one was left out. Thanks again,

Tatyana Capdevila, Florida USA

Hi Nikki!, I just wanted to give you a report back on how the treasure hunt went. The kids had a ball! I got some really great ideas from your book about what to do at the ports. I have a request out to our family for people to send me any pictures they took. I'll send you one if I get a cute one.

Angelic Thompson, New Orleans USA

I'm a procrastinator and the party is tomorrow night!!! So no time to write much now - but, I'll try to let you know how it all went! I am loving the package and it is working out nicely - so far - so good! THANKS!  And, thanks for having something IMMEDIATELY available for a procrastinator like me!  It's for a group of freshman girls and I think it will be tons of fun!  THANKS!

Lynne Allenspach, Montana USA

Hi Nikki, I must admit that I am not computer savy and rely mostly on my 16 year old son to get me out of most jams I find myself in :) I was able to access the treasure hunt and Easter bonus hunt (which was awesome by the way) As for the hunt, my family is big on these type of events and I have been doing some variety for years.

Your kit was awesome, it saved me countless hours on the planning end and everyone really had fun. We do this event each easter for my husband's family. There are 4 brothers and we divide them into teams for the hunt. This was by far the most organized and stress free event. We did find that at the end only having one team retrieve the treasure map was a problem as two teams solved the puzzle simultaneously.

This is a great service and I truly am grateful that I found your web site.

p.s. the egg challenge was by far the most entertaining.....

Susan Rossi Cook, Massachusetts USA

Hi Nikki, thank you very much for all the follow-up emails and also for making that customization website available. It's been REALLY EASY to plan with all your materials and the website.

My son's 7th birthday party was this past Saturday and ran the pirate-themed treasure hunt. The kids ranged in age from 3-8. It was great fun! The kids really enjoyed themselves and the parents seemed to enjoy watching the activities, too.

I followed your basic design, signs, and most of the games. We did the whole treasure hunt on our backyard lawn in a space of about 15 ft x 25 ft.

I really enjoyed planning this and running it, too. Your instructions were great and really easy to follow. I'm looking forward to planning another treasure hunt soon. As I mentioned earlier, all the kids had a great time and the parents really enjoyed watching the treasure hunt. I've already shared your Web site address with several parents. Thanks again,

Mary Anne Arcilla, California USA

Thank you for your email. Our party was yesterday and it was awesome! This was by far the best party we've had and required the least effort from myself (because you completed the work)! I had began to research pirate party ideas a month before I ran across your product and was sceptical about spending the money due to I had purchased another "kit" and was disappointed. I am so happy now we took a chance on your product; everyone was so impressed and the children had a blast!!!

PS- Your customer service is a very nice touch!! We really appreciate you!!!!

Flora Parker, Georgia USA

Nikki, I got the Treasure Hunt for my Church Group. We meet once a month for a Movie Night and on the night of the Treasure Hunt we were watching "National Treasure". I thought a treasure hunt would be fun to do before the movie and everyone had a great time! I didn't have a clue on how to have a treasure hunt, so I went to the web and found you. You did a great job of putting this game together and I will be able to use it for many more parties to come. I used some of your ideas and did few of my own and it turned out to be a huge success. Everyone is still talking about how much fun they had. We had our hunt all indoors on Friday night, April 7th. I will attach a few of the pictures from our "Treasure Hunt". Thanks for the help.

Cheryl F. Barbour, North Carolina USA

Thank you. I always believe that the true mark of a company is how they handle difficult situations. Your company has responded admirably. I look forward to doing business with you the future. Best, J

Thank you so very much for helping  with this problem and refunding that second purchase.  It has been a pleasure doing business with you.  Once again, thank you!!

Hi Nikki, The party was great. Glad I ordered your packet. Thanks,

Diane Siegel, South Carolina USA

Thanks for your book....it was great.  I really helped plan my children's party.  They had a great time.....my husband created the map and we made up great clues. Will use it again for a family gig.

Alice Greenspoon, Texas USA

Hey Nikki.. just wanted to let you know... we had our "treasure hunt" this past weekend! What a hit it was!!! We had 16 participants aging in range from 12 to 50... everyone loved it and we all had a great time!! Thanks for everything!! I will certainly recommend the treasure hunt to one and all!!!

Nancy Foote, Michigan USA

We had our pirate treasure hunt game this week-end on our yacht club cruise. We did all the planning, purchasing the treasure and put it together in 3 days with very late nights, but it was a huge success. Everyone had a great time. We have many more ideas for another hunt next year when we will have more time to plan.

Thank-you for all the great ideas and for all the flexibility to the game, it was easily adaptable to our space, weather and various abilities of our players. Our youngest player was 7 years old and our oldest was in their late 60's and they all enjoyed the challenges, puzzles and best of all finding the map and treasure.

Bev Hamlik, Washington USA

Hi Nikki, The treasure hunt that we conducted went excellent. Everything went fantastic, my whole family had a great time whether they participated or not, it was great to see the whole family, young and old, get involved to play, laugh, and have a great time! Thanks!

Kristen Williams, North Carolina USA

I used the Treasure Hunt Game ("The Great Hunt for Summer Vacation") for a group of 1st through 5th graders (about 80 kids) as part of our last day of school activities. They had a great time.  Several kids asked me if we'll be able to do it again next year.  Some of the parent volunteers and teachers encouraged me to keep all the props and signs so we can use the game again.  The teachers really enjoyed it.

I'm planning to use the game once again for a class party for my son this summer ... probably with a different theme. It was easy to set up, and the challenge ideas were awesome. Thanks!

 Julie Keller, Wisconsin USA

We all had a great time on the Treasure Hunt.  Memorial Day Weekend was all family and fourth of July will be all of our friends and their kids.  We plan to do another treasure hunt then with some different challenges.  (beer drinking, doughnut eating off a clothes line with no hands allowed and a few others).  Planning it was as fun as being in it.  It was a great time! Thanks Again!

Diane Gregor, Michigan USA

Hi Nikki, Many thanks for the great Treasure Hunt game planner and the supportive communications.  I was asked to do a treasure hunt for a friend’s 40th and we went away to a beautiful country house for the weekend.  The group included some very competitive men – so it was great to have a really strong, uncheatable structure for the treasure hunt as a basis!

Anyway – they loved it and said it was the best treasure hunt they had ever done.  So I’m sure you’ll get some hits as a result. Thanks again and good wishes for your business

Vey Straker, Herefordshire United Kingdom

Hi Nikki, I found your site during a Google search. I had two days to plan a hunt for my 9 year old son and 6 of his friends, as a last day of school treat.

Your site really helped.  I had to make some changes because I only had 7 kids, but it was a great time for all.  The hunt and all the challenges took about 2 hours.    I had a lot of fun putting it together too.  Next time I will take more time planning.

The kids asked if we can do this next year for the last day of school. They want to make it a yearly tradition. Thanks.

Patti Chiofalo, New Jersey USA

Hi, Nikki, I wanted to let you know that my son's birthday party was a huge success! If it wasn't for your package deal with pre-printed pages and instructions, there would have been no way I could have had the birthday party at all. I started at noon planning each station and looking for things to do the challenges with, and by the time my son and his 9 junior high-age friends got to the house, I had each station planned, the cake frosted, and treasure chest hidden. The kids really enjoyed the challenges and had a choice of movies that were pirate themed: Goonies, Pirates of the Carribean, and National Treasure. Thank you so much for making my job easier and a great hit with the rest of the kids. You know, kids aren't as easily impressed these days, and my younger son is asking for this for his birthday. Thanks again, I'll check out your other add-ons for party ideas!

LeAnn Harrison, Montana USA

We did have fun. There was one adult and one child on each team and it was so cute to see the kids come wrapped as mummies.

One hyperactive child only came with partial shards of toilet paper since he couldn't stop moving. We weren't picky on how much of their body was covered. One little girl never moved and she came perfectly wrapped. I recommend a toilet paper like Scott, since the softer rolls fell apart too easily. I found out my adult niece couldn't spell backwards and she became very frustrated! I think everyone was surprised that it wasn't just a straightforward "here's the map, find the treasure" and they were very surprised to actually have to DIG for the treasure! I used a large tin wrapped in a plastic bag, but when the shovel hit, the bag broke and the tin lid got dented, so a little dirt got in, but not much. The trouble was they kept trying to pull it out before totally uncovering it.

Linda Livingood, Pensylvania USA

Well, we had the treasure hunt yesterday. It went really well, the children were so excited and had a fantastic time. I literally buried the treasure and it was lovely watching them dig, surrounded by the other 15 children.

My nephew and niece, my brother and sister, and of course my husband, were all helpers and they enjoyed it as much as the children. Needless to say, I was shattered last night after all the planning, preps and doing, but it was well worth it just to watch the children’s faces.

Many thanks for replying to my email, and for the ebook I purchased, I just don't know what to follow this with next year!

Val Hawksfield, Kent United Kingdom

Our treasure hunt went very well. I had a bunch of kids aged 6-14 and they loved it. Thank-you for a great plan.

Amanda Pouliot, Texas USA

The treasure hunt was terrific-the kids and adults had lots of fun. Hoping to 'run' another at our annual summer get together in August. Thanks again,

Maggie Pakulski, Maine USA

Thanks 4 the mail Nikki. The game went great, and if we have a second and third opportunity to play it will go even better! My wife and I are in Germany at the moment but when we’re back in N.A. I’m sure my wife will write a more detailed report. Best Regards, Louis {Antje,s hubby}

Antje Petrovich-Breit, Ontario Canada

Hi Nikki, our treasure hunt at our spring campout went very well, even though we had to dodge a few thunderstorms. Our scout and parents really enjoyed it.  It was different and it was fun.  And we are here to have fun.  And we do plan to use it again for our fall campout, which is in the planning stage now.  That's in October.  Made a couple of mistakes on the planning, but learned a lot from this event. Will be keeping in touch soon to see what options we have for our next event.

Ron Cromer, South Carolina USA

Nikki, just wanted to let you know that my son's birthday party went really well. I had a lot of fun putting it together and the boys enjoyed all the challenges and especially digging up the treasure! All the instructions and the question puzzle were a bit challenging for them even though I modified some of the questions (they were 8 year olds) but they had fun! I used your "matching items" game to pair up the boys before the treasure hunt started, which worked out well. Thanks for the ideas and putting it all out on "paper" for me. I will definitely use it for other parties.

Deanne Benetz, California USA

Nikki: Thanks for your message. The party is tonight in Oceanside, NY for a group of 13 year olds. I purchased your book on Monday and have put together a Treasure Hunt using baseball terms although I don't consider the party to have a theme. I am using some of the suggestions for challenges in your book as well as having made up a few of my own. Your book was very clear and the instructions were all easy to understand. I am so glad I found your website!! I was going to attempt to put a Treasure Hunt together on my own and I was procrastinating over it as you may have figured out from the fact that I just ordered the book Monday!!!

Lorraine Rello-Incontro, New York USA

It was AWESOME! Thanks so much, everyone loved it! It was great, I loved it!

Theresa Truong, Texas USA

Hi Nikki, the Treasure Hunt was a GREAT success, and everyone had a GREAT time at the annual Block Party!   ALL the kids (and I mean all....there must have been at least 60 - 70 kids participating) had a great time, and I think the adults at each of the participating homes on the block did also!  We did the Pirate theme and everyone seemed to enjoy all of the pirate flags...balloons, and the Pirate we had "hanging in the galley" of Pirate Beach (he was a bit scary for the real youngsters...but it definitely added to the effect we were trying to achieve.)

We had a huge Treasure Chest "buried" in our back yard filled with all sorts of toys, candy bags, faux jewelry, coins etc.... and the winning team all seemed to revel in the excitement.

We can't thank you enough for your help.  The program really helped us to plan, and make the event as special as you had described.  Thanks for all of the pointers along the way, and we look forward to possibly hosting this event at our next Block Party!

All our best and many thanks again for providing such an innovative and helpful tool to make the party a huge success.  Agrrrrr Matey!

Mike & Chuck, New York USA

Hi! I just wanted to write...I found the hunt very easy to plan with all of your instructions!  The only place I had trouble was when trying to "age" the map.  I could have used a little more instruction on that, rather that just use cold tea!

Great program,

Lisa Fellhauer, Michigan USA

Hi Nikki We finally completed our Treasure Hunt last week! We had so much fun -- thank you for the great kick-start!!! I ordered your Treasure Hunt software package way back in February, 2006.

Your software was just what I needed to get started, get me thinking about what I wanted to do -- and it was GREAT fun! Everyone, from kids to adults, had a great time! For me, it was like Christmas, having chosen wonderful presents for all -- and watching everyone Ooooh and Aaaah. My participants had a ball! Of course, now that everyone had so much fun, next year I have to come up with a game for EVERYONE -- the grownups want to play, too!!!

Ah, the challenge! We had great fun!

Eileen Blackwood, Minnesota USA

We had the party I used the treasure hunt party planner as a guide.  I only had one team and had the girls work together.  I set up six challenges (using your ideas as guides) the challenges were building a tower out of cups, building a pyramid out of people, writing a birthday limerick, singing a song, perform a play/skit and scramble puzzle.  The girls had a great time and worked together. Thanks

Lisa Esten, Massachusetts USA

The party was this past Sunday, and everything went well. I used the Pirate theme pack - the instructions were simple and easy to follow. The party was a success.

Marybeth Riordan, New York USA

My son's 10th birthday party was a smashing success thanks in part to your wonderful treasure hunt ideas with the pirate theme...Thank you!

Stacie Choy, Surrey United Kingdom

The treasure hunt was a success. Had 6 teams with 6 on each team. Everyone enjoyed it. We were all dressed in pirate costumes.

Mike Brenchak, North Carolina USA

Hey Nikki,

I really want to Thank You for your support during my planning stages of the treasure hunt for The Quickel's 40th Anniversary Party!  I am confident this party will be fondly reminisced time and time again, through the years, by the anniversary couple and their guests!!  It was a huge success!

The tropical island theme worked really well.  The island names were decided upon via 6 fond memories that Mike and Judy carry with them after 40 years of marriage.  It really personalized the game!  At each island station the teams found their challenge in a bottle  (with sand and seashells) to replicate a "message in a bottle"!

I am sending over a few pictures.  Hoping you will enjoy them! Let me know if you have any trouble getting them to come up. Thank you again,

Robin Scharding, North Carolina USA

We did the treasure hunt at our picnic on Sunday and it was a hit. I learned a lot, particularly about being rushed into setting it up. But all in all, everyone had a good time and they were challenged by the clues. One dad was so proud of his 9 year-old son, who figured out the five to eight puzzle while the adults were still working on it. I will definitely be thinking of clues and prizes for the treasure throughout the whole year, just to make it better next time. Thank you.

Sandy Manchester, Washington USA

We modified the treasure hunt to fit our needs, and it was a great success.

Parents chaperoned the children in the campground so it was a nice family event. The making of the flags was a big hit. Also using the binoculars with the plank was a huge hit. Thanks again,

Marla Mazur, California USA

Hello Nikki, I had my treasure hunt for my 10 year old daughter’s birthday. It was a bit unorganized but hey I had to work the morning of the party. We had 17 kids over. My husband was uneasy about how we were going to keep them all entertained and having fun for 5 hours. It was great! I scattered the stations all over the place. Finding the treasure map was the best. My husband hid it in a bird house. It took them like 10 minutes to clue in. They ran around it who knows how many times. The next best thing was the actual location of the treasure chest. Instead of burying it we strung it up in a tree. Of course, no one thought of looking up. It was right in the middle of all the action throughout the whole hunt. We were laughing. It was a blast. This party took place middle of July. On this past Monday, one of kids mentions to my daughter that that was the most fun at a party. Now the other kids want treasure hunts too. Next year it will be even better since we had the trial run and it went over amazing. Thanks for your help.

Hi Nikki, we completed the treasure hunt on Saturday. I modified the game to suit the venue and the crowd as we had 15 teams participating in the hunt. Contestants had a fun time. I will be fine tuning the game mechanics to cater for a team building crowd for January 2007.

Vivien Hoe, Singapore

I used your treasure hunt for my best friend's 40th birthday party.  I did not know most of the people that came; so, I was a little nervous about pulling the whole thing off.  I purchased your delightfully easy-to-implement treasure hunt only about ten days before the party.

We all had so much fun!  The guests were laughing constantly and couldn't wait to reach the actual treasure.  There were groups of her friends from all different backgrounds--many of whom who seemed reluctant to mix with the others.  The treasure hunt was so wonderful that new friendships were formed, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses were exchanged, and my husband and I are enjoying a reputation for being the best party givers ever.

We received so many compliments, you just would be amazed.  My friend for whom the party was given was at her office the next day; and, she said the people that had elected not to come were very disappointed when they heard how much fun everyone else had.  One young lady upon leaving said to me that she would like to be invited to the next party I have.  I had to laugh as I had never met her prior to my friend's party.

It has been nearly a month; and, we are still the talk of the town so to speak.  We live in one of those areas where everyone knows everyone else's business whether they know you or not.  I imagine you should be receiving a lot of hits from the folks in Salinas, California so they too can give the greatest party ever.

Not only did your program delight every single last party guest; but, it was easy for me to arrange as well.  You have a remarkable product that will serve well for years as it is true quality.  A rare find today!  Thank you so very much.

Cynthia Bryn Smith, California USA

Hi Nikki, Party was yesterday and was a great success. As you would expect weather very unpredictable in Ireland for Nov but we were blessed with a dry if windy day. Have taken some photos and will email them to you this week. Thanks so much for package which I must say was very thorough. The hardest part for me was trying to contain the children (21 in total) when they arrived at party and explain how the treasure hunt worked. Your website details have been passed to several parents so hopefully you will reap the rewards. Thanks again and photos will follow.

Anne Goodwin, Co, Kildare Ireland

Hi Nikki, it was great! All the parents that stayed and watch were amazed and impressed. I think it went off well for the first time.  I had family member and friends saying they wanted to have their own treasure hunt. Thank you, thank you, thank you for holding my hand and walking me through this step by step.

Angel Blizzard, California USA

Hi Nikki, We had the party the day after we ordered your planner. It was my son's 12th birthday party and he complained that he didn't want to play any games, but I didn't want 10 children running through the house for 3 hours. Our party was held in an old convent in Pennsylvania, USA. The guests were aged from 6 to 35. We had a Halloween theme, since Shane's birthday is October 31st. The guests had to search for Uncle's Seymour's Last Will & Testament.

We followed all your suggestions for the challenges, teaming older players with younger ones. The puzzle pieces led the players to the chapel (we have a real chapel with stained glass windows and oak pews in our home), where we had hidden the Last Will & Testament with directions to Uncle Seymour's most treasured worldly possessions. My two sons, my husband and I dressed in Halloween costumes and supervised the rooms. Even after one team had located the treasure, the others were having so much fun that they asked if they could complete the remaining challenges (the one with the peas seemed to be everyone's favorite). Everyone had a great time, but what made me happiest was that my son kept thanking me the next day, telling me how much he loved me for throwing such a great party for him. Thank you for the great plans - they were well worth the money! Gratefully,

Ildiko Mulligan, Pennsylvania USA

We had a fantastic time. Our Pirate themed treasure hunt party was a "treasure!" The hunt was superb and the tools that you provided made it easy to customize to our group. The children loved it! I appreciate that you kept checking with us to make sure things were progressing well as we planned the event. Again thanks!

Tim Craft, Virginia USA

We had the party on Saturday - huge success!  Because I am so very busy I was not able to put the pen to paper until the day before - it was gruelling but absolutely terrific.  My 10 year old party girls had an absolute blast! Thanks very much,

Roni Agress, Connecticut USA

We had our treasure hunt Sat night. It was great. The students enjoyed it and so did the adults that were working the different stations. I was so relieved to have something already complete and ready to use. It was user friendly. We changed the font and copied it onto brown aged paper and it looked so real. We had middle school age and college age. They all enjoyed it. We had the stations set up among a pirate town and they had to go through the town to complete. We used it to eliminate the teams to two and the two completed a treasure hunt that was extra. Thank you for such a good product.

Pam Bennett, Tennessee USA

Dear Nikki, just wanted to let you know we used your treasure hunt at a party yesterday and it was a big hit.  There were twenty ten year olds and we put them in five teams which was great.  It all went well and it really was enjoyed.   I was happy with the product and would do it again. Thanks.

Monica Eskin, New York USA

It is Sunday and we are recuperating from the Halloween Party we hosted for our 10 year old son.  The boys loved the treasure hunt!  Thank you.  I had the boys eat and drink gross looking candy ( a bug, blood and vomit).  I also bought 2 paint guns (they are manual and without CO2 or battery) and had them shoot at a skeleton that I painted on a piece of plywood (very easy).  I am considering an adult party next year.  Thank you.

The task was a bit more daunting than I thought it would be. I ordered your planner on Wednesday and my party was Friday. I pulled it off. The kids had a great time. Thank you for your help, had a blast.

Sylvia Rich, California USA

Hi Nikki, You have a great product. We just might be your first customers to conduct our treasure hunt in the nude. Our events calendar had a kids' treasure hunt scheduled for Saturday afternoon. I used some of your ideas to design the hunt, but I am saving the full version for next season when we will have better attendance in the warm weather months. The kids (ages 5,6, & 9) loved it, and I can't wait to put on the full program next year. Thank you.

Dear Nikki, We had a great time!! I had 25 children over.  We used compasses and shovels.  The groups of kids went from clue to clue.  Some were even tied on a balloon and placed on a pond to float around.  The party was 3 hours long. Thanks

Chantel Prater, Indiana USA

Hi Nikki, The party was a great success. It was a lot of fun and my neighbour asked where I got my ideas from. Thanks,

Catherine Grote, Kansas USA

I used your treasure hunt game for my son's 12th birthday party. We were doing a haunted Luau theme and I used the Hawaiian Islands as the places that they had to visit. It was great. The program to customize the hunt worked great and was very easy to use. I had about 15 kids that were doing the hunt. They had a really good time. I was having a little trouble trying to come up with a treasure but a friend suggested lottery tickets. The kids went nuts over them. I had three sets of three lottery tickets tied together for the team that figured out the location and dug it up. But I also had single tickets in the box so that everyone got one. It was a great party game for that age group. I was really pleased with the product. I am planning on using the Halloween games bonus that I got for my son's Halloween party at school. Thanks.

Hi Nikki, Thank you for your treasure hunt book. We held our treasure hunt a couple of weeks ago and it consisted of 12 groups of 10 year old children, a total of 110 kids. The treasure hunt was a culminating activity of our term's unit "What is your treasure?" We had 6 stations and made up fun challenges at each stop, the children received a piece of the last puzzle each time they successfully completed a challenge. The teams eventually ended up in the principal's office where they found a spade and a beautifully tea-stained treasure map that directed them to a sand pit on the school property where the treasure was buried. The winning team received the contents of the treasure chest and each participant a love heart with the words "Where your treasure is, there will be your heart also" Matt 21:6 with a chocolate bar attached to the back. The children absolutely loved the hunt and it was a highlight of the term. Your book was so helpful in setting up the treasure hunt, which was quite complex with so many children involved. We will definitely use all of the tips again when we run the treasure unit next year. Thank you for all of your help and your follow-up emails which ensured the day was a huge success!

Hi Nikki, Treasure Hunt was a hit, thanks. We had five stations that were in our back yard, front yard, neighbours and out in the kids hide-out in the bush behind our house. The treasure and the key (which was in an old gumboot) were hidden in the bush behind our house. When they had the treasure and the key they met in the hide-out to open the treasure. The treasure was filled with fake pearl necklaces, fake gold necklaces, glass stones (they were meant to be diamonds) and gold coins (chocolate filled). Thanks again

The party this past weekend was a huge success.  We had an away sleep-over at our family mountain house and had the treasure hunt on day 2.  It went extremely smoothly and the ten girls had a blast!  Last week was an insane week and I had little time to prepare, and now that I've done the hunt I feel like I could do it perfectly next time.  Your product is exceptional and you truly saved me valuable time and stress!!!  I look forward to having another hunt sometime very soon. Thanks so much,

The pirate treasure hunt was great. The kids had a lot of fun. The only thing I changed is I had the kids put their colored bandannas on first so everyone would know what color they were. I also replaced the gold earrings with tattoos at that station. The winning team really got into digging up the treasure. It was great to see girls really get into the game. Thanks for everything!!

Our treasure hunt was based on the pirates of the Caribbean II dead mans chest characters. It was a swarm of fun for all and a huge hit, participants and watchers alike enjoyed the games and puzzles and the treasure at the end!! Thank you for the kit it was a big hit. A lot of work transforming it to my theme on the computer. But so worth it. We had three teams of 3-4 boys ages 11-14. Thanks again

We had a great time with the treasure hunt. Our big birthday party involves my two daughters, now 2 & 6, and their dad. All birthdays within 10 days.  We had about a dozen kids into the treasure hunt. The booty in the treasure chest was used for goody bags for the young guests. The kids had a great time and were ready for cake afterwards.  Between the bounce house, riding a real horse (we have a friend who brought one), and the treasure hunt the kids were totally worn out.  Then it became Dad's party, and the adults had a great time also.  We did a treasure hunt for dad, and he was completely confused  (we meant to do that)  and had a great time.

It was wonderful that I was able to set this up with very little effort. By setting it up so that it doesn't matter if something goes wrong, everyone wins - everyone enjoyed it. I received lots of compliments on how great the party was. I look forward to using this on other occasions, as well as when the kids are just bored. Thanks for your efforts - which saved me from making them.

The treasure hunt went great!  All the girls dressed up in pirate garb.  My daughter was totally surprised.  They all enjoyed the treasure hunt part and everything worked out perfectly.  Your e-book was a great guide to planning an exciting party.  Thank you!
